I purchased a new pump but when I replaced my old pump with my new pump...my spa would not work...nothing...no sounds, no anything. Double checked the wiring and everything looks OK.

These are the specs for broken pump that I replaced:

Century Lasar Pool/Spa Motor
Magnetek Hurricane Part 7-182912-03
CAT BN 61
Volts 230
Amps 8.5/2.8
RPM 3450/1725
HP 3.0- .38 spl
FR x48y

I replaced it with a Waterway/A.O. Smith pump:
Volts 230
Amps 12 (hi speed) 4.4 (low speed)
RPM ????
HP 4.0

The spa also has another pump that was working before.

Century Pool/Spa Motor
Magnetek Part 7-186095-02
Volts 230
Amps 10.0
RPM 3450
HP 3.0 spl
FR x48y

Any assistance or advice would be greatly appreciated (especially since my girlfriend is all over my back to get this spa fixed)!!!

Thanks.

Have you checked to see if you have voltage going to the pump? (just a note, the new pump is going to be 3450/1725 rpm also). If the second (booster) pump isn't working either, check to see if you have a blown fuse. Some circuit boards will have a fuse, and it may be possible that the new motor was too much for it.
