I REPLACED MY CAL-SPA, 4 1/2 HP, 220V, 2-SPEED PUMP. TURNING IT ON, IT WILL ONLY RUN ON LOW SPEED. WHEN I PUSH THE HI/LO BUTTON, I CAN HEAR THE SWITCH CLICK IN THE CONTROL BOX , BUT THE PUMP SPEED DOESN'T CHANGE. IT MAINTAINS LOW SPEED. I WIRED THE PUMP TO THE SAME TERMINALS AS ON THE ORIGINAL PUMP. I'M GETTING FRUSTRATED.

well i removed the pump and looked at the wiring again. although i had placed the wires in the same location as the origional pump, i hadn't noticed the markings on the new one. the pins were not in the same configuaration! moving the wires to the marked locations solved the problem. lesson learned.
