Hi,

I am in the process of rebuilding the pump on a sta-rite out of a Watkins tub (about 8 years old).
After the pump dried, I notice a yellowish residue that seems like it's the pump housing erroding. this stuff is like a fiber/powder cinsistancy and can be scraped off and itches like fiberglass.

Do I need to be concerned or will it hurt anything when I put it all back together?

Thanks in advance,

Ken

And the real answer is....................... No.

It's normal to see this in a pump cavity after years of use .
