I have a Magnetek Century Centurion Pump type CX 3/4 HP switchless pump that I need to change from 110 to 220. It is running fine on 110. Trying to lower my elec. consumption. I am an electronics tech, so I would say I have a fair understanding of electrical issues. I ran a new line for the 220 connected to a 220v/20 amp breaker, changed out the timer box to one w/ a 220 clock motor, made the appropriate changes on the motor, (Brown to B and White to A).
When all is done, I have 110 going to L1 and 110 going to L2 and 110 to A and 110 to B, but the motor does nothing. Can you help? TIA, Kent.

The most likely problem is that you accidentaly connected the same line to both outlets, check to see if you have 220V between l1 & l2, 110V to each only guarantees 1 line that could be looping through the motor for a false reading, going between the two lines should give you a guarantee of 220V or 0, if 0 the verify that the breaker is supplying 220V between the two lines going out and that the time-clock is actually switching both legs out to the pump.
