 Post subject: Dimension Chairman II "rinse cartridge, check level, reset."

I refilled my hot tub, rinsed the filters and then got the error to check water level, rinse cartridge. If error remains, restart hot tub. Call for service if that doesn't resolve.
I did all the above (except call for service). When I reset the hot tub, the system still holds on to the time and settings. Is it truly resetting?
How do I clear the error? I don't want to call for service, as my warranty is up!
