Don't know much more than the make/model. Spa came with home purchase, no documentation.

Anyway, we took water samples to the local spa dealer and were told to drain and refill the tub. We unplugged (dedicated 110 w/gfci) the spa, hooked a hose up to the drain plug and opened the valve. Took a while to drain, but eventually did. The next day we filled the tub, and plugged it back in. A big red light came on briefly, then went off. A red light labeled "power on" has been blinking since it was plugged in, even though nothing else was happening.

We then realized the control panel cover needed to be on. Once it was on, the lamp came on and something started humming, we're hoping the heater. But repeated pressing of the "jet" and "clean cycle" buttons do nothing. There are only the 4 controls on the panel, light, temp, jet and cleanup. There are the two panel lights, a big red one (the one that comes on briefly when I plug it in or reset the gfci) and the one that blinks.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated. I'm sure we're just missing something basic that if we had a manual we'd probably be up and running already. Everything was working fine before we unplugged it to drain.

Thanks!

Never mind!

Found the little safety contact thingy that is attached to the cover wasn't close enough to the other half of the thingy that is inside the cabinet, so the jets and lights are on, (hopefully the heat is too!) and we're adding chemicals. Gotta get this sucker heated before we have a high temp of 27 on Thursday this week!

So, any general advice would still be appreciated.

This has a temperature dial with settings of 1-9, so I'm seeing around 104 or hotter is nice and comfy, where am I likely to be on this dial in terms of temp, or will I just have to have a thermometer, and is there a special one for hot tubs?

Thanks!

between 3-5 brings you over 100 degrees. Get a floating thermometer, or at least dip your hand in before taking the plunge. Good Luck!
