2000 or 2001 Hot Springs Grandee IQ2000.

I walked out the back door this morning to see a puddle of water and water dripping from behind the control panel door(I think that is what it is called). I took the panel off and saw a bunch of black soot(I guess) some melted tubing going from the ozone generator as well as tubing going from on of the bigger pumps (7000 I think, maybe wrong), and the end of the no-fault 6000 heater(thermister end) where the one small tube plugs in, melted---just where the one small tube plugs in. This was the only damage that I could find. I managed to break a piece another non-electrical piece that I am gonna have to ask about later.

I already had a new no-fault heater...I can not remember the complete name.. but it is a brand new one.. that I bought about 8 months ago..I changed it out.. replaced/repaired the tubing and filled the tub back up.

I turned the breaker back on and the display just flashed all 0000's for a couple of seconds and then went blank. All the ready light would do is blink.

The silent flo 5000 kicked in eventually and started circulating some water.
That is all that I have gotten it to do. From reading on this forum.. I have read of people changing their heaters... draining and refilling having this similar problem and that being caused by the hi-limit thermister. I do not have an ohm meter available at the moment, so I can't check that. I am just wondering if any of the guru's think that it is just the thermister of if there is something else that I should/need to check. None of the buttons to control the jets or light activate the proper functions. I did notice that when I turned the breaker back on that the spa tub light was on and wouldn't go off by pushing the light button. I cycled the breaker several different times.. and the last few times.. the light has not been on. Please let me know what you all think.. and also.. is it okay to leave the breaker turned on to allow the circulation pump to continually flow.

Probably did some damage to the thermistors, change 'em.

I didn't realize the fact that my above post was my first post...I guess I always just lurked around. Anyway.. Hi.. everybody.

I ordered both of the thermisters.. I hope that they get here soon.. and more so, I hope that fixes the problem.

Does anybody see any problems with leaving the breaker on and letting the circulation pump run?

Should be fine with the breakers on- won't hurt a thing.

WhenI got home today I cycled the breakers and the jets and light started working properly. I flipped the breaker to the heater and after about five minutes ... the jets shut down and back to red blinking light and blank display. I flipped the breakers waited about five more minutes and reset the breaker to jets and light and all worked fine.. let them run for about 10-15 minutes and then reset the breaker that runs the heater. The tub has worked fine ever since. I am not so sure that the heater is working though.. it has been sitting and "maybe" heating for about 5 hours and I can not tell that it has warmed up any. I am just guessing that the water was around 50-55 degrees. I felt of the heater around the thermisters and it was pretty darn warm in areas. I will hunt down a thermometer tomorrow and check the water temp.. Oh.. I had set the temp on the tube to 100F. At anyrate, I ordered two new thermisters yesterday.. so if it doesn't seem to straighten out by the time the new thermisters get here.. then I will change them out, unless I am informed of something else that may be the problem.

Check the little circ pump for proper flow while you're at it

I turned the breaker to the heater off on Saturday night. Sunday morning, I got up and turned the breaker to the heater back on. I was gone all day.. when I came home the tub was heated up to 100F and has worked properly ever since. I ordered the new thermisters.. they haven't come in yet.. I am wondering if I still need to change them out?
