Ok let me start here. First the pump went out. Which took out the heater element with it. So I replaced the pump with the same one 1 horse 2 speed pump. New heater element, flow switch, control panel. Everything is new except the board. But I have a new one that I put in and still nothing so I put the old one back in. So here is my problem. Flow alarm only on low, when its in high everything works great. Winter is coming and it will be a big problem if I can't get this fixed. I hooked a meter to the flow switch to adjust it and when its in low I get nothing. The new flow switch is different then the old one. Not sure if they are all the same or if there are different ones. On the hot tub it only has the one 2 speed pump and a light that is it. It is a balboa control panel and heater. Someone please help this is driving me nuts.

What do you mean by "get nothing" on low? Are you measuring resistance or voltage across the flow switch?

By nothing I mean It is not closed. I;m measuring ohms. It should read 0 correct?

Correct, you should get zero OHMS (or close to zero) when the pump is on low speed. Is your pressure switch adjustable? It should have a small dial that you may turn to calibrate the little guy.

Yes there is a dial and no matter where it is turned it will not zero the ohm meter. That's why i'm courious if there are different switches, or are they all the same?

There are some more sensitive than others. There should a number somewhere close to the dial indicating (in lb.s) the maximum tolerance for that switch, although if it's working correctly, even a higher tolerance pressure switch should be adjustable. I'd replace it again, and be sure you familiarize yourself with the new pressure switch and know what direction to turn the dial to make it more sensitive. If you get the same problem- there's a flow or plumbing issue.

Thanks for the help. Is there a certain flow switch you would recommend?

It's fixed!!!!!!! Yes it was the flow switch. Went to a different pool store and the guy told me the switches from pool to hot tub are different. So I bought one that was similar to the one that came out. And that was the ticket. It works. Once again thanks for all the help.
