Hello,

I have a Hot Springs Landmark that I have updated with the new tri-bend heater and the Silentflo 5000 just last year. I'm pretty sure the pump is less than a year old.

Drained the tub over the summer and refilled today. I usually have the air lock problem, so as instructed by the dealer I remove the filter and stem, and stick a garden hose down the pipe to flush the air out. You can usually see the air flush out and the pump start circulating. That didn't happen.

The pump is getting very hot so I know it's getting power. I pulled the pump out and took it apart, and I could find no obstructions or reason for it to not work. There were no chemicals or dirt blocking the impeller.

Any ideas?

Were the items replaced under the spa warranty, or did you purchase them?

If you bought them, the circ pump carries a 1 yr. warranty.


It's unusual to have a failure after just one year, but it happens...
