1991 hotspring jetsetter heater replacement
115 volt-1500 watt heater.

Is it necessary to drain the tub before attemptiong to remove the heater?
Any other helpfull hints would be appreciated!!

You don't have to drain the tub if you clamp off the lines with some needle-nose pliers (vice-grips). If you use those you can switch it right out.
