I posted recently about my older Hot Springs (1989 110v) not heating up very good well now it has quit heating up at all. I left it covered and have not run the jets and every day it is at the same 80 degrees.

I set the manual dial to 9 and I can feel the water flow coming into the tub but it is not getting any heat. Any idea on what the problem could be or trouble shooting I could do?

In response to your question about not heating, I can think of a few thing.

Make sure the heater element is getting voltage, to check this put one meter test lead on each electrical terminal of the element and see if you have full voltage.

Do an AMP check on the heater when you believe it is heating, a 220 element will draw around 20 amps, a 115 element will draw about 10 amps.

Either the T-stat is defective, the element is defective, a wire has burned inside the control box, or the heater relay is defective.
