Hi, After moving into a home that has a hot tub, I had the woman next door who has the same tub show(since this was her daughters house) help me to start it up. She claims they used it without problems. After 24 hrs with the heat display on, my water temp has just reached room temp. The heating element is not at all hot. I see calcium deposits in some areas of the element and the pressure switch. What is the next step in diagnosing this problem. I have a Blue Ridge Spa Model # 600-66, Serial # 32281, Magnetiek Motor #7-182835-01. The heating element is a 240v 6000W. thank you for your help, tubby

Well this is so typical. You need to ascertain if the pressure switch is being activated when the pump is on first. Then go from there.

By the way, does your heater on this thing look like this:

Or is it a straight flow thru style heater like this?:

Sorry for the delay in replying, got real busy in the last couple of days. :)

It's a straight thru design heater Pageup. How do I know if the pressure
switch is working? By water coming out of the jets in the tub? Does it matter what wires are plugged into the switch as I now have the black wire pluged into the top while the orange wire is pushed into the bottom.
Thanks for the help.

Here's what to look for. If the pressure switch is really activated, this example should give you a clue about it.

Let me know.

Thanks!
