I am in need of desperate help! Our spa is a Brett Aqualine model EM-203. It has a black heater housing that kinda looks like a tube with a box at the end. We do not have the money for a service call. This thing will not heat. We replaced the heating element on Wednesday and it still won't heat up. :? There are no spa side controls and everything is turned on from below the tub. Please offer me some suggestions. My birthday is next Wednesday and we were hoping to have some people over and I would love for this thing to be working. My husband is mechanically inclined, but I am not. Anything you suggest I will print off and take to him. Hopefully he can figure it out. Thanks!

I'm normally quite apprehensive to give electrical advise to someone that I'm not absolutely sure knows what their doing..... It can be dangerous. However, "mechanically inclined" will get a bit.

You need to determine if the heating element is getting power when heat is called for. If it isn't, you need to trace the wires backwards and determine what's preventing power from getting to the element, and repair that problem.

The schematics for this thing can be found here:

While it is not recommended for homeowners to troubleshoot their own spa, it might help if he got some assistance from someone with electrical experience in working with this.
