Just got a "free" cold tub. Do not know the history. It is a Jacuzzi Echo Series, model 310, model # du-h136-ccah, balboa 51423, serial # j33294, with a thermostat (i think) called "the little general". I got all of these model and serial #'s from the inside control panel and really do not know which applies to what. Sorry.

My son in law has run a dedicated 20amp 115v circuit. The tub has a gfci built into the plugin cord.

When i plug it in, a small "Heat status" light indicator on the top control panel lights for about 2 or 3 seconds and then goes out. The unit then comes on in a low flow mode and has been running for several days. The top side control panel button seems to work fine as i can turn on the light inside the tub, as well as cycle the pump thru a hi flow mode and back off again. The aeration knobs also seem to work fine.

But alas, no heat. Any ideas what to do and how to do it?

Steve

check and/or replace your flow switch and check and/or replace your circulation pump. One of the two is most likely your problem

Your tub calls for heat, then turns on the heater IF your circulation pump is operating. It knows if it's running or not by the pressure switch (sometimes called a flow switch). So, if your pump is running and your flow switch is working properly, when your tub calls for heat, it applies the power to the heater element and alas! HEAT
