I've attached a photo of what I believe to be my heater. Can someone tell me where my heater element might be located? Also I was referred to check the ohms. Which I tryed to do. I achieved this by taking a reading from the two post with the attaching red wires. Was this correct? If so. I got a reading of 11 ohms. Was told should read somewhere between 9-15. So this makes me wonder if my element is really the issue? But everthing else seems to operate in order, so I'm lost on what else it could be? Thanks again, Ck

the red wires are attached to the element, which is inside the metal tube beneath. Your ohm reading is correct, but to be completely accurate the red wires should be disconnected before testing. When the spa is "trying" to heat up, is there voltage at the red wires (test between the wires and NOT from one wire to ground!)?

And with the wires disconnected, you're testing at the posts that the wires were attached to, right, not to the wires.

My bad. I've now checked between the post. With the wires off. And get a fluctuation around 11 ohms. To note. I had the tub off for a few hours. And when I turned it on to test the terminals today. It started to automatically click on and off. A problem I just recently had. Which ended up allivating itself. So I'm still clueless of the source? Thinking this could produce an inaccurate reading?

The clicking you hear is most likely the pressure switch which is that round can next to your red wires. They will click if the water flow is just on the edge of not enough. The black knurled part is adjustable, so if you know you have decent waterflow through the heater, go ahead and turn that knob counter-clockwise about a turn and see if that helps. When the switch is made, it allows your heater to turn on. It's a safety feature so you don't burn out your element in the event that the waterflow stops.

There was silcone on the dial so it couldn't be moved. Which I took off, and turned the dial counter clockwise a turn. Waited a few hours and no change in temp. So turned a little more counter clockwise. And again after a few hours no change. Chris
