i have a aqualine em104. ive previously replaced the heater element and pressure switch for a no heat problem in june. now the heater light is staying on indicating "ready" however the spa is not getting hot..even if i turn the thermostat all the way down to cold the light is staying on indicating the temperature is ready. i do not hear any of the relays clicking on either when im turning the thermostat.? any ideas would be appreciated

The ready light illuminates when the temperature has reached the appropriate temperature. If you do not hear a click, even from the dial (make sure you listen carefully and have no background noise when checking, power can be off for this) then it is likely your thermostat (dial) is defective.

the click i was referring to is actually the relay which clicks on to activate the heater. the relay is in the control pak. but besides that i just looked inside the spa control more carefully and found my 220v wire going to this relay has turned green and looks burnt . i will replace this wire and let u know the outcome.

i tried replacing the wires that were burnt and i am still having the same problem. the light on the tub that lights when the tub has reached the correct temperature is staying lit. this indicates the tub is at the correct temperature, however it isnt. the heater is not turning on. when i turn the temperature dial to the coolest temperature or highest temperature it stays lit....before when i would turn the temperature dial to make it warmer or colder i would hear a relay click on to indicate the heater was being activated however now nothing happens. i am thinking maybe the thermostat is bad or the high limit switch possibly?

My money is on the thermostat. If it's the high-limit switch it will be very obvious because it should be lit up RED as in 'tripped' and has to be manually reset. Note that if the high limit is tripped this will normally prevent your jets from running also....so if your jets work, the high limit switch is fine. Also, the high limit is likely not on the same circuit as the "ready" light.
The only other option, as you mentioned, might be the relay for the thermostat, but those don't too often go bad from my experience. Focus on the thermostat...try a manual override if you can figure out how.

Hello, based on the info you have a spa side thermostat. If you follow the purple w/ white wire from the t-91 relay to the thermostat(thru the large black plug on the side of the control box) do you have 110v on that wire?(if not the t-91 relay is bad) Then check the purple coming back from the thermostat (when calling for heat) do you have 110v? From there follow that purple wire to one of the contactors to the pressure switch, to the high limit, to the bottom contactor. This is what completes the heater circuit. at any point if you do not get 110v thru any piece that is what needs to be replaced. When power is going to a contactor if you have 110v on the coil then the points are supposed to pull in if they don't you have a bad contactor.

]i tried replacing the hi limit switch and thermistor which is directlty connected to switch with no luck.
maybe i confused some people with my problem let me start from scratch.
brett aqualine em 104 240v
heater element and pressure switch replaced in july worked till october.
i will give you a breif description of my spa .
on the top of the spa there is 1. thermostat control and 2. two push button switches 1 for motor to turn on 1 for light. there is a light on top next to the thermostat control which lights when the spa has reached the correct temperature (ready light). also when the thermostat control is rotated to make warmer a relay is herd from from within the control box this relay is activating the heater element.
now this is whats wrong: the light on top next to thermostat is continuously illuminated stating the temperature is "ready". and it is not ready, it is cold ..no matter if the thermostat is set at cold or warm.. when the thermostat control is turned there is no noise heard from within the control box thus no relay element being activated.
the spa control is not turning on the heat because the light stating the temperature is ready is illuminated. ivew tried getting a detailed schematic however im unable to find out if theres something im missing. ive tried jumping out the pressure switch with no luck. ive tried the temperature fuse located on the main heater with no luck and also the hi limit switch.
