Aftermarket simply won't work in your tub- I'd stick with the dealer. Always a chance it might fix itself in a day or two (if it somehow got wet), but it sounds as though you're headed for replacement.

Good news is- you should be good to go for another 5 or 10 years

who cares how much it costs to run these things day to day.....the big cost is me breakin all the xpensive parts
