 Post subject: Heater wont shutoff in thermostat mode

I think I have a signature spa, an older one, (free) anyway the heat light
light stays on and so does the heater when I have it in thermostat mode. before when I turned the knob to warm or cooler it would shut off the heater. Now it just stays on and then it heats to hot to use. I think it is a bad thermostat. Please advise this rookie.. thanks
