My hot tub is not heating, what steps should I take to trouble shoot the problem. Everything but the heater appears to work normally. My hot tub is an LASpa Quest model 3000 which was purchased new in 1998. The topside control unit is a Gecko MSPA1. Top side control is Gecko TSC4. Thermostat control in on the TSC4. The heater type is a 15" long stainless steel flow through tube,

I've found the problem, after toubleshooting the components, I read the operators manual & found the controller has an economy mode. The controller was set to Econ 2, which kept the heating element off. I reset the controller to no economy by pressing the Mode button for 3 seconds (until the Economy setting appeared) then pressed the button two more times, at which point NOECON appeared. It works fine now.
