Hello- I have a HotSprings Sovereign I #I-231432 spa. Its 115 volts and I need replace the hot water heater. The reason I need do this is that last winter we had a blackout and I neglegected to restart the spa. The water froze and bent the seam where the heater body and heating element meet.

The replacement parts are 31255, 31212, 70108, 10475 and 70868 which comprise the heater assembly.

The heater has 2 3/4" outlets a 1/4" bleeding outlet all on one end of the body.

Question: Could anyone suggest a 'no-fault' replacement so that this does not occur again? I have been unable to find one.

Yes I am aware that HotSpring manufactureres an upgrade kit - but it is for the 230 volt model.

Thanks in advance for anyone's thoughts, suggestions and help!

Regards,

Louis

No no-Fault replacement, won't work. Use original

Thanks Swine I was hoping that was NOT the answer - but I unfortunately think it is.

Any other suggestions are welcome.

Hello once again - I just wanted to share that I searched the internet for a few days seeking the best pricing for OEM equipment for the Soveriegn I heater that needed to be replaced.

So far I found the best prices and service at http://www.spastore.com.

Does any one else have any suggestions or comments?

Thanks!
