Like everybody else, I just cleaned my spa and when I filled it up. I get no heat? everything else works fine.

It is a 1990 sovereign by Hot springs, I am proficient with a multi meter but I have no idea where to test? or if there are circuit breakers or fuses. I did hit the two reset buttons but noting changed....

The jet pump works like a champ and all else seems to be fine - just not heating.... the heat circulation pump is warm to the touch but the heater and cylinder it is in, are cool.

suggestions or instructions greatly appreciated.... help?

Do you hear a "click" when you turn the t-stat up and down?

yes, if i rotate the dial, i can hear a click....

The spa is covered, correct?

Check the element for OHMS. A good heater should read between 9-12 OHMS. If possible, test the heater receptacle for voltage as well. It's kind of tough to get your meter leads where the element plugs into the control box- but you really should confirm it's getting voltage too

If it's 120 volt, 20 amp spa, 12 hours is pretty good. It gains ~2 /hr (F)
The circ pump runs virtrually in obscurity- but if it fails, it will generally shut the entire tub down-so unless you have multiple issues (which you don't), it's working just fine.
