Hello. I was wondering if anyone knew how to remove a heater tube on a cal spas ps1234 unit. It is leaking water and I have tried to remove the tube but it is rusted on there and tough to get to because of the black plastic box that surrounds it. I have thought of tearing off the plastic box so i could get to the tube but am a bit concerned if that is the correct thing to do. The wires were so rusted that I was able to easily break them off their connections. Also wondering where I can get a replacement for the bad one. Thanks in advance for anyones help in this manner.

You need to pull out the entire box - base, pump, everything to deal with this mess.

If yours has the bottle neck ends then this is the replacement:

Otherwise, you should be able to replace the element-

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your response. Going to try to get the old one out this weekend. Been soaking the rusted area in some liquid wrench for a week or so. Hopefully it will help break it loose. Thanks again. Elwood
