Hi Folks,

I am new to this website but I looked over just about everything and couldn't find an answer to my problem.

I own a 2001 Tiger River Bengal model # M

It came with the house when I purchased it almost 2 years ago, I never had a problem with until now. It was a little low just under the wave makes so I filled it with hot tap water (5-10 gallons) like I do any other time. Came out to use it the next day and it is ice cold, I pulled the cover of and started checking everything.
I have power "110" the jets and light work, the circ pump was not so I jumped it and it works. I checked power to the junction block and have power, I checked both relays and they work.
Yes I pushed the reset switch on the heater more than once "Watkins no fault 6000" I unpluged the spa for at least 15 minutes pluged it back in and waited sevral hours and still cold I also felt the heater and lines to see if they warmed up nothing.
I have 3 led lights on the circut board-1, Control which is On 2, heater which is off and 3, control unplugged also off. I used to get air bubbles up from the bottom drain I belive and that stopped also. I called my spa people and they want boo-coo dollar just to come out. I sometimes think people think you got money just cause you own a spa NOT! I am at my wits and and don't have a lot of money, just time "Laid off last week"!

Any help would be Greatly Appreciated as my wife and I already miss our fun time!

If the 'heater on' light is not on then something is telling the heater to not come on. Is the power or ready light flashing on the contol panel? If so make sure that the circ pump is definitely working, the sudden lack of air bubbles would lead me to believe that the pump is not working properly...if it is it may not be pushing enough water...also make sure the filter is clean or take it out and run it without to make sure.

If it is not these things then you may need to change one of the thermistors that screw into the heater.

Hi Dan,

No I did not see the ready light flashing but the power light is steady red. I pulled the filter and recleaned it but left in off anyway. I pulled the Cir pump wires off the board and jumped them to a power source and the pump works great. I replugged pump wires back to proper loction. Came out yesterday and everything was working heat was at 88* I then turned on jets to circ some chemicals turned jets off, back to not working heat then started falling back down. I have 2 thermistors (2 Gray wires out of heater and to circut board correct) how can I tell if they work or not.

Thanks for the help, I truly appreciate it.

If the circ pump is working fine and the 'heater on' light is not on then it almost has to be one of the thermistors. If you can test resistance with your meter the values of both thermistors should read almost the same...as an example 6.86 and 6.75 are fine. If you get readings like 8.62 and 11.54 or a similar differential then one of the thermistors is bad. If you give me the reading I can tell you if they are good based on the water temp when you test them.

If one is bad I always replace both of them to avoid the same problem with the other one soon down the road.
