We have a 2002 Vita Spa L200 that came with the house when we moved in last year. We were using the spa recently when everything shut down and I heard the breaker flip. I had the temperature turned down a few minutes earlier, so the heater wasn't running then.

I disconnected other parts and the breaker would not stay on. Finally I disconnected the two wires for the heating elements, flipped the switch and everything else started to work. Hooked up the heater and the breaker would not stay on. Even with the temperature turned down and not heating it still shuts down

Would this be one of the heating elements is shorted out, and if so, how can I tell which one? Any other ideas would be helpful.

try running the spa without your filter in it

if it works, the filter needs to be cleaned or replaced, or possibly a pressure switch problem

I removed the filter, then had to disconnect the 2 wires for the heater before the breaker would stay on. Everything else ran good. I adjusted the pressure switch untill the diagnostic read "FLO" then adjusted back to where it read normal. Still running. Shut it down and reatached to two wires and the breaker still kept tripping. This doesn't seem to be the problem. Where do I go from here?
