Hi Folks

Looking to replace my hot tub pumps/motors. The motor make is Magnetek with only 1081/1563 on it . Serial # BN8-30 I believe with part # 7-186292-01 (approx 9 years old). 1-1/2 HP

Is there some sort of reference for these older ones that show comparable replacement pump model?

Also the pump portion has nothing on it in terms of serial?model numbers... are they all a standard size?

The pump numbers will be located around the shaft entry to the pump. However, this is all you will need to know to find a suitable replacement for your application:

Motor voltage (120V or 240V)

Motor speed (single or dual, if single, 1725 RPM or 3450 RPM)

Motor HP

Pump inlet and outlet location (center inlet is most common, however some are dropped meaning they bend to the base of the pump; outlet location will be either center discharge which is straight above the inlet, or offset discharge which will have the outlet not centered above the inlet. The whole pump assembly can be rotated in 90 degree incriments so you can adjust it to fit your needs.)

Pump coupling size and style. (Typically you will find either 1 1/2" or 2" sizes. The style will usually be one of two types and you will know the difference on sight since one is flat across the top and the other is domed.)
