Visit a good automotive store and request a vinyl top cleaner for convertibles, and if they have several choices, read on the back to see what covers the grime you need to dispose of. Be a good idea as well to pick up some vinyl top conditioner, as it's cheaper and better than spa cover conditioner sold at spa supply stores.

Quote: Just be aware that many automotive vinyl top conditioners will void any and all warranties on most spa covers.
...if they actually see you using it LOL

No.. but if you put in a warranty claim with me, and I look at a sample of your cover, I can almost instantly tell if you voided the warranty by using a product we specify against using.

we use and supply 303 aerospace protectant - don't know if it'll remove sap, and don't know if its an authorised product for your spa cover - Dr Spa may be able to advise

IMHO be wary of anyone or any company dictating the use of a limited "approved" product sold as a specialty. Do your research, and make the best judgement you can. Dealers don't always know what is best, just what they are told by the company they represent. Baquaspa is a prime example of such a situation. This is like Chrysler saying you can't use anything but Chrysler oil in the engine, when Valvoline is markibly a better product. Can't sell more covers if they last forever! Keep in mind most dealers are on a commission basis, and pushing select products increases their profit. Just educate yourself by contacting people who deal with canvass and vinyl repairs every day as a profession. You will be amazed at the wealth of knowledge they can provide you on care and maintainence.

Indeed that may be the case, however it is a good question especially for those who have never owned a spa before, and worth discussing IMHO

So Dr. Spa. What do you recommend using to clean and protect these vinyl covers? You have only stated what not to use. Thanks
