I can get you a 2lb density vinyl cover. Tapers from 3" at the seam down to 2". Cost would be $400.

$400? Sounds a bit high. A 6" to 4" tapered 1 pound density cover for less $ than that, would weigh exactly the same, have the exact same weight capacity, yet insulate 90% better.

Sorry you've been experiencing poor quality manufacturs. I guess if you can't seal the foam properly, a higher density foam could compensate.

Not from selling them, from servicing tubs that have them. They appear to be an excellent buy but I am turned off from the many that I have seen (and strained my back from lifting) in the field. Let me know which company that you have had luck with if you could, I'm willing to try something new. I have yet to find the miracle spa cover that everyone is looking for.

Hey Guys,

I'm in the Hudson Valley area, not too far from you and I need a new cover also, so who makes a quality cover around here we can see and pickup. The risks of poor quality, wrong size and expensive shipping scare me outta making an internet purchase.
