You mentioned the real key word there...

PETS.

Get a new standard spa cover, and treat the pet. Stop treating the spa cover. Either that or put some kind of barrier around the jacuzzi so the dogs won't eat it!

I've seen it a million times and the only cure is some kind of discipline thing or maybe spraying the cover with skunk doo.... OR, eliminating access to the jacuzzi area from pets.

While I'm at it, I'll get cheezy and plug http://usaspacovers.com

Your real answer lies with the dog's teeth!

(just my opinion, don't shoot me!)

I figured that might be the only solution, although I must clear up that the problem is not with the dogs chewing or eating....They get up on int and the styrofoam cracks and breaks, so I will obviously have to work on a barrier system to keep them off my cover. Thanks..PLus it doesnt help that one dog weighs about thirty pounds and the other over 100

A cover should be strong enough to support a adult person.

I know mine is because one day I found (grrrr) my room mate and his girl friend BOTH standing on the center! There not skinny either and the cover is almost 8' square.

I have a cover with water logged styrofoam. The cover itself is in great condition. I would like to buy replacement foam and wonder where I can find it? Is there a special way to waterproof it to keep it from waterlogging again? I really don't want to spend several hundred dollars on a new cover if the defective part is just foam. Am I fooling myself?
