I recently bought a used spa and the cover is worn in places, no holes or tears, but worn out enough it lets water soak through in spots.
Is there a repair product out there I could use to "paint" on to restore/repair the cover and make it waterproof again?
Thanks in advance.... :?: :?:

My experience has shown you would be better off biting the bullet and purchasing a new cover.

I'm faced with that delima now. My cover leaks and it takes 2 people to lift the cover. This will be the third $450 cover I bought in 7 years.

Wow! I bought my spa in 1987 and the cover was ok until last year when the hinge material failed.
Maybe weather here in southern California helps. But it's in direct sun light all day long every day. I just squirted it off with the hose weekly in summer.

anyway...

I read somewere that you can use a 'vinyl patch kit'. If there is a Home Depot near you ive seen it in the pool supply's. (aprox 6" x 24") Underwater patch even! :o

I'm wondering why spa covers are made so cheesy. If they were to laminate a few layers of fiberglass to both sides of the styrofoam, these covers wouldn't crack so often.
