Light is out on my '89 Sundance Cameo. Light sensor on the control panel works so I assume it's the bulb that's out...
Looking at the Balboa MoodEFX 22 LED model or ColorGlo Raydiance 24 LED model.
Couple of questions -
1) Are these types of spa lights compatible with my '89 Cameo? These appear to be 12V lights, which seems to be the standard.
2) Both look to have similar features. Are they basically the same or is one better than the other? Or are there other that are better than either of these?

If your Cameo is anything like my 94, the LED lights are said NOT to work. You are correct about it being a standard 12V, but if yours is like mine, you have 4 light settings, including off. The led replacements are said to only work with on and off models. Your voltages will change from 12, 7, and 5 to give you a dimming effect. I'm thinking about trying it anyway, since there is no harm that can come from the experiment.

thanks. good to know those bulbs fit. i think i am going to give it a shot.
mine appears to be a basic on-off type, which is probably the case since it's a 1989 model. the manual doesn't indicate any kind of dimming mode.

I just looked at your owner's manual, and yes you have just the on/off type. here is a link to the manual, which will also show you how to install the filter, and maybe answer a few other questions you've had.

On a separate note, the blower system has in no way any affect on your hydro (water) system. If you are having a leak when the blower is on, it's likely to be coinsidence.
I spent 3 months chasing down a leak that appeared to come from "somewhere" under my Cameo. It turned out to be a split hose fitting at one of the vertical jets, which you do not have. However, it could very well be at one of your jets all together. Since your jets are adjustable, especially your whirlpool jet, where you can turn it on or off individually, you will probably find your leak to be at the jet where it feeds through the shell. Removal of the jet, replacement of the gasket, and silicon around the back will most likely be necessary on this one.
