Came across this Heat/Sound Insulation and wondering if it can be used to help quiet the noises of the Spa Pumping system?
Help Pipes heated water flow through retain the heat?
Maybe secure to sides of Hot Tub to also retain heat?

Anyone try this or similar material?

Brief Synopsis of Description:
Durable, long lasting and easy to handle! Radiant heat can make travel miserable. Insulate your floor, doors, side panels, engine compartment and headliner to block heat. Lightweight aluminum foil faced blanket type insulation is made of natural fibers—no fiberglass to irritate skin. 3/8" thick underpadding is treated to protect against mold, mildew, fungus, etc.

You can find this stuff at home building supply stores. It's sold as attic insulation - in rolls.

In previous years this stuff was used by some mfgrs of tubs until they found it retained too much heat, causing overheating of the spa - particularly in the summer (hotter) months. If you decide to use it, be aware that some controlled venting may be necessary.

:D :?: Okay , Thanks for that Information,

I am thinking of using it as a wrap on the pipes themselves to help retain the pipe heat and protect them in the Winter from freezing.

I May use it on large exposed areas of the tub and then add a layer of foam insulation ontop to help the tub itself retain its heat and save on the cost to heat the water, thus save on heater elment use.

Is there perhaps a better product to use? :?:

Thanks Wes
