Hi, I've had major leaking from my spa. (I think it is a 98 Sovereign ) I removed the skirt on the side where it was wetest and encountered soaking wet foam. I mean, really wet. I dug through it, pulling it all out to row upon row of tubs. I found that a small "tube" that went into the moto-massage on the left side of it was not connected at all. water was apparently leaking out the resulting "hole" and soaking the foam till it filled the inside up to the level of the hole. The hot tub is indoors. it began to drip more and more from that corner, which is how we found it.
However, adding water up to a level below that trouble, still indicates a leak, but here's the really weird part. It loses about an inch, then stops. the only jets covered are the foot jets, the bottom two of the back jets opposite the moto-massage and the bottom jet in the tri-jet arrangement on the opposite wall. Does anyone have a plumbing diagram so I can try to track this down without tearing the whole tub apart?

I would repair the moto nipple first and see if it stops leaking. You may have enough wet foam that it will seem to keep dripping. It could also be the precision jets leaking. I would concentrate there also.

Thanks, Pete. Since I posted, I repaired the moto. So far, no further wet foam. Also discovered that the seal on the pump was leaking. had a spa guy remove it and it was all corroded (hard water, I assume). Looks like we'll be replacing that too. At least we're making progress!

Glad to hear about the leak that is hopefully fixed. The corrosion on the pump and the seal leaking can come from pH problems. Just test weekly and keep it balanced. You might be able to have the seal replaced and the pump checked out and rebuilt at your local pump repair shop.
Happy Soaking
