We have a Tub 100 foot from a Pond with abundant wildlife near Glacier Park. We are concerned about what precautions and and preventions we can take to assure that nothing gets mixed into the watershed

Does anyone know of any appropriate literature or documentation from a reliable source that gives an overview of the proper steps to take ?

draining downhill into the Pond, on the suraface or into the groundwater just doesnt seem right.

There is very little mentioned about this.....

man unless your tub is like 30000 gallons and tainted with pcb's I wouldn't sweat anything.

You get in the same water you're draining. It's not like you're draining crude oil into the pond you know.

It's a but a drop in the environmental bucket. Your body's reaction to this water you drain would tell you real quick if there was something amiss.

Balance the PH, be sure sanitizers have dissipated, and drain.

Perfect ! thats good to know, I just wasnt sure. Dont want to be in my Tub looking at the Park at sunset over a Pond full of Floating Fish !

If you're using any type of copper ions (or algaecides) , and there's trout in the pond, they may yet float.... Trout are extremely susceptible to copper.
