First a little background: I have a Coleman spa that holds about 190 gallons of water. It is locates at a weekend home that gets heavy use during the summer. When there, my kids can be in the spa as much as 4-5 times a day. They go to the spa after they finally get to cold from swimming in a very clean glacial lake so they have had sunscreen applied as well. I use the baquaspa chemicals to treat the water and have an ozone thing as well. After I refill the spa I do get it to a point where it is balanced and the water is clear. After about 2 days I begin to notice a bit of a haze in the water and a slight smell. By the time I get back the next weekend the water is cloudy and I end up changing it out. My questions are - is Baquaspa not up to the challenge? Is there something else I could add at to clean the water? Someone at the store where the spa was purchased suggested using a liquid shock that they use to open a pool. Would this work in conjunction with baquaspa? Any advice would be appreciated. I am really getting tired of changing the spa water :!:

baquaspa bad, chlorine good... aside from that a large part of your clarity and smell problem is likely due to the sunscreens and other body/perfume oils from the spa users. It might help to have the bathers rinse off in the shower first, but a lot of sunscreens are water resistant and won't go away with a quick rinse.
