I have a sundance spa.. got it last spring.. the system I was put on the use is called Soft Soak.. well I have had to drain and start over 5 times.. including today.. it goes well for about a month then.. has a green ting and it smells terrible.. I do chemicals weekly.. we get in it about 5 times a week.. I am so frustrated.. I love my hot tub but man.. what is it??
Celcuim hardness goes outta sight.. any suggestions?? as it drains I am going to clean it out.. how do I flush the lines with bleach water to get anything that might be growing? thanks.. amber

to clean out the lines, you will need to start with the tub full of water, then add about a cup of household bleach to every 50 gallons of water and cycle the tub for about an hour. Another thing you can do is use a cup of AUTOMATIC dish washing liquid for each 50 gallons and do the same process. I would personally do both, draining each time before putting the other item in the water so not to mix the bleach and the detergent.

I don't have any experiance with "softsoak" but I do have experiance with chlorine and I can say this much, I've never had a problem with green water or the like, and if the chemicals are properly added, there is little chlorine smell at all.
