I have a Calzone Ozone Spa Water Treatment unit from CalSpas (model 100 OZ http://calspas.com/parts/dispic.asp?numb=OZO18000000)

I just bought the tub used and started it up for the first time a week ago. The first night I was messing with it the light that indicates that it is working came on a couple times. It's never come on since.

I'm assuming I need to replace the bulb (found here http://calspas.com/parts/dispic.asp?numb=OZO18100000). Does that sound right based on what's happened here.

I'm looking for a replacment bulb (with much difficulty). It looks like I'm going to have to settle to have one shipped to me. So before I do that it would be nice if I had a clue what could be wrong. Is there any testing I can do to see if that is in fact the problem?

Also should I consider just replacing the unit since it is 10 years old. A sales man at the local spa place said a new unit is $450, but I assume it would work a lot better, and he said that it's maintnance free. (no bulb, which I imagine is going to cust a pretty penny, to replace)

The bulb in question is a UV bulb, used for ozone generation. A CD (corona discharge) unit will be better, last longer.
