Do these things do the same thing or should I use one or both of them? I'm currently using chorine and have a ozonator on a Hot Springs Grandee if that helps.

Thanks for your help. This forum is a great source of data so thanks in advance!!

If you are using enough chlorine, that alone is sufficient as a sanitizer. Generally the silver ion is "supposed" to eliminate the need for harsh sanitizers, but I only swear by the sole use of chlorine. I don't have information on the spa frog.

Silver isn't needed, although it's promoted in that Hot Spring System. Ozone and Chlorine (Sodium Dichlor ONLY) work beautifuly together. Chlorine amounts lower than city drinking water while you're in the spa. ZERO odor, ZERO irritation, just like bath water.

Add about one teaspoon of dichlor each time you get out of the Grandee, and once every couple of weeks, shock it with about 4 teaspoons of dichlor.

No change in PH, no harsh smells, almost zero effort, very inexpensive, and perfect water.

Thanks, swine. Have you ever listed to pig radio, KPIG, 107.5, Freedom CA. Its online now.
Somewhere I read that the frog versus the AG+ were just different compounds of silver silver-----ide and silver.........ide forget what. do they work equally well?
Have posted elswhhere ozone/ozonator questions, and have read all the threads I could. Dont seem to have that laser copier smell despite tons o bubbles/blue green light so its time for a new one. I take it the silver and ozone are designed to work in conjunction. If you get a chance see my delzone vs hotsprings cd post.
I started this water off with lithium cloride and have a fair amount to use up. I have seen your posts on the merits of sodium di clor and the probs .w/ bleach, hydrogen peroxide. Shall I cease using the lith due to the silver?
Always forget which dissipates/reacts quicker (if thats the terminology)
Oh, maybe its better when using very low amounts to have the one that stays active longer. Anyhow from your other columns I'm convinced on the diclor. I'll go read up some more.
