Apologies if this is in the wrong forum.

I'm the proud owner of our first spa, a new Sundance Caprio. It comes with a dual-stage MicroClean filter. The owner's manual says the pleated portion should be cleaned once a month, but the microfine filter should be replaced every three months. "The smaller stage 2 filter cannot be cleaned and must be replaced (thrown-out)..."

I'd like to clean the pleated filter more often due to the number of trees in close proximity to the tub. Soooooooo, what do I do with the smaller filter when I'm cleaning the pleated portion, say weekly? The dealer said I could take the assembly apart and rinse the microfine filter, I just couldn't/shouldn't soak it in muratic acid and reuse. Is there a special procedure I should follow? Can I have two sets of filters to speed the cleaning process? What would I do with the used microfine portion when putting it in storage for a week or two?

You can imagine all the rest of the questions I have. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
