Bought Arctic Spas Summit model Sept. '08 Onzen system First fill discovered could not get ORP reading high enough to prove we were getting sanitizer level. This was a couple weeks after pulling out hair. Fiddled, added more salt, ran filtration system in cycles, and did trouble shooting. Spa dudes who came to look discovered in transit, there was a disconnection of the Onzen generator. You would think this would be the end of the trouble. Nope Got in tub for about a week, levels began slipping again, told to add more salt and got numbers up. Then we got too high and needed to Ph down. This we did. Now it was winter and we are fed up with the tub not mainting levels. Water always looking murky and not fresh, numbers all over the place, replaced filter, but still having trouble. Left it a few months, no use, too frustrated. Finally, spring on the way we changed the filter, waited to see how things would go, levels really low, but Ph off the charts. Needed to do water change, (since with disuse and failing to change filter, we now had brown filter gunk in water) so we did, added half bucket of salt as per instructions, did test strip and ORP reading, One day after fill, 176 orp, two days after fill 189 orp, four days later, highest we have read is 214 orp, test strip says 0 bromine, 129-180 alk, over 8.4 ph Had tub since September '08, used three times for few days at a time, when levels started slipping, didn't want to use due to "ickiness" factor. Waiting all day for guy at store to "troubleshoot" over the phone. After paying this much money, at what point is the frustration level not worth it? It is the equivalent of buying a car and only using it three weeks out of the nine months...why is it acceptible to have this lemon in the yard still, instead of a replacement? Someone, anyone...? We also have had the issue of the crusty filter bits floating around the water still, even after emptying and cleaning...even on long filtration cycle, it's not ridding us of this. The salt causing this? Not impressed

ANd this is a 2008 model tub??? Where is the Arctic or retailer on this. Seems like they should be busting their butts to get this up and running. What about your warranty. Arctics website sure touts a lot of benefits to the Onzen system, doesn't sound like you have realized any of the benefits. You sure convinced me not to buy one.

dear lemon spa from hell.
I am SOOOO with you on this.Ditto with my tub ..Delivered not working... 2 new generators , salt cells blah blah...Gone through 3 lots of chlorine indicators, 3 lots of salt indicators and three filters just to make sure its not me doing anything wrong...Cost me GBP 100 in products and I have been in it 5 times in three months. Arctic are awful. Unreturned calls and messages. The worst customer care I have ever encountered - and we in the UK are used to some real crap.
