We have been shopping for a new hot tub for a few months now and found a Calspa V-600 today that seemed to fit comfortably and include all the extras such as steps, upgraded locking cover, free delivery AND installation and the price was reduced to $4299. I have been reading the posts and have seem many negative comments about Calspas and was wondering if I should stay away from this brand due to the feedback I've seen. The company we are looking to buy from has been in the spa and pool business for many many years and is very reputable but I'm leary of investing this much money for a product that could potentially become a nightmare. Plus, it is full insulation and when we visited a Hot Springs dealer they told us we did NOT want full insulation in case of a leak because it would be costly to try and take the insulation away to locate the leak. Any information as far as if this price seems reasonable, if Calspas is not the route we should go, or if we should choose the partial foam insulation would be very very helpful! Thank you!!

The more complaints you'll hear about them. With as many as Cal Spas sells, the logic in that is obvious. Then there's the die hards that swear by their own particular brand.

Truth: Most feedback you'll see on products of this nature are negative ones. The majority that are satisfied will quietly go off into the sunset and enjoy their tub.

Truth, and this is especially true of this business: It is usually the end dealer that is the make or break for the manufacturer's reputation. The dealers unfortunately are usually stuck with paying the freight on warranty service.

Cal Spas are great quality tubs, and they are very easy to get parts for.

Now I don't get the commentary given by the Hot Springs dealer as they've used full foam in tens of thousands of tubs. Strange.
