My husband and I are looking at installing a hot tub - we haven't narrowed it down yet and are even considering having one put in the ground. Someone at work told me that hot tubs need to be refilled every 3 months and doing so in January left him with a VERY hefty power bill (many hundreds of dollars)! Any way to avoid this?

Most tubs don't need to be refilled but once every 6 months... and if you maintain a clean filter and proper water chemistry you can even go longer than that.
