I am in the process of buying a new Limelight Flair spa and had a few last minute questions. I know spas are expensive and I seem to have gotten a discounted price but want a second opinion. I got the floor model which was discounted and $500 off for bringing in toys for tots. The spa is around $7400. That includes the subpanel to wire it, an upgraded cover and delivery and placement of spa. I noticed Costco has a few cheaper spas such as the St Lucia. I can't find any reviews on this anywhere which makes me wonder...? Any thoughts about Costco spas? I always planned on getting one through Costco but the makers of Hotspring have a great repuitation and are more energy efficient.

If you are seriously considering both options go with the Hot Spring tub. Costco tubs are made to look flashy but are built like a house of cards. The equipment is ok, the frame and insulation or horrible, the plumbing is nonsensical. A Hot Spring Spa on the other hand is one of the two or three best brands you can buy. You'll have a top notch tub AND a dealer that can actually help you if you have a problem. Once you walk out the door from Costco you're on your own.

Thanks so much for the input. We just had our limelight flair spa delivered today. It's made by hotspring and has pretty much all the same "parts" as a true hotspring spa. We are very excited. Even though we paid quite a bit more I think it will pay off. (you pay for what you get). Now we have to get it wired. Does anyone know how much that will run? It's a 230v.

Depends on the length of wire. You'll probably need 4 conductor 8 AWG at around $1.5 / ft, plus the subpanel, breakers, and conduit (~$100), plus labor to install.
