Hi

New to this board. I live in England, UK and am looking to purchase a hot tub/spa for the first time.

I am aware of the bigger players in this market and their cost however I came across the one in the link below which seems to be a very good deal with all the entertainment equipment and the number of seats and jets.

http://www.danz.co.uk/shop/NEW_Ultimate_Spa_236.php

Is anyone able to give me their opinion on this item and if it does appear to anyone else, too be to good to be true. I have contacted the company but they do not have premises where I can view their stock so im pretty reluctant.

I would be grateful if anyone could confirm whether they have heard of this company/brand and if they are reliable.

Any other suggestions would be appreicated.

Thanks in advance

Mathew

Wow - that's a ton of jets. They all look like smaller jets. From my service perspective I would hate to have to work on it. IMO if you put that many jets on a spa there is more of a chance for leaks.

Hi
I have ordered a hot tub from DANZ and payed for it . Delivery was 6 to 8 weeks upon order. I have been waiting for 12 weeks now with different reasons for delays as they are shipped from china which of course takes 3 weeks on the water. We had been given several dates due to the delays and our latest should be around early November. Have i been scammed i hope not. Will let you know if it arrives. This is the last date i shall then proceed with trying to get monies back or start an investigation into DANZ.

Hi,

I am very worried as we ordered a DANZ SPA in August and were told the same... ie that it would take between 6 to 8 weeks delivery.

We built a concrete terrace, had electricians, cut down trees and have now just finished tiling the terrace as all is ready for the arrival of the DANZ HOT TUB.

We were then informed that the SPA would not arrive on time but that the ship would dock in the UK on 31st of October so we should have the tub around one week after that.
Yesterday we got an update from DANZ saying that the tub had not yet been made and that it would not be arriving at the dock until the middle or end of November which means that we would not get the SPA until December if that promise is kept.

We have told clients we have a hot tub available and this is terrible for us.
Has anyone any idea of what we can do?
Has anyone else had this experience?

Thanks for any input as we are desperately worried this company may be sinking with our spa?

Can we get our deposit back?

PS for BOB5:

We looked into Danz before ordering and it looked good. They had a good record and no problems came up.

HI
Glad in one way of having some feedback from someone else. We have also had electrics installed and decking ready for tub. We ordered ours on the 18th July. It appears they have on average a dozen tubs on a container for shipping and as you are aware it takes about 3 weeks on the water from china plus a week or so in customs. They are then transported up to a warehouuse in Leister for distribution. The office they are registered to is in Northampton and because they take orders and operate totaly via internet you cannot see any movement of tubs. My latest email from Donze is confirming production of tub on the 20th October and shipped on the 24th arriving at port on the 18th November.

It would be good to here from someone who had ordered one and had recieved it already. Considering i was told back in August mine had been manufacted with the update of upvc skirting free of charge and was to be shipped and then told there had been a delay has left me worried like you.
We've had a number of calls from customers regarding the conflicting updates

Hi,

Yes, I too think it is very comforting to know there are others like us in the same boat!

We were told by a very nice and efficient sounding man that we had no need to worry and were sent an update saying the tub was at present in production and would arrive in the UK middle or end of November.
I really think we have no need to fear the worst about the company, as it seems there have been too many orders suddenly and it got a bit chaotic! It is terrible to have to wait so long and is so worrying, but I do believe what they are saying after being reassured by the person I spoke to who will be looking after the organising and will see to the European exports and in particular France.
They will have to get it together for France and Germany if they intend to capture that market, as they are very organised and methodical and are not used to the new British chaos.
It will be interesting to be able to compare notes and also to hear from anyone who has received a spa from Danz.
I was told they could send me contacts of many highly satisfied customers if I so wished.
We are very sad not to have our spa as planned and to have to wait so long but perhaps it would have been the same with another company?
I know when we had a swimming pool built we went through hell for 18 months and never want to have a pool built again!
It is so nice to get input from you.
I was given a 50 pound discount for the delay so you go lucky!

Hi have some good news noooooooo not got tub yet but have spoken to a guy who repairs and services tubs and because he is based in Notingham were Danze is registered he has done work for him. He has said his tubs are genuine and he hasnt had to repair that many as they dont have any problems with them considering people are worried that they come from china. He knows Danz very well and wasnt prompted for sale promotion but has high praise for the tubs they sell. They do sell a lot and this does put strain on delivery containers being shipped in. So bear with it and high spec and at a good price our tubs will be delivered. Will keep you posted and if you require this company contact for service or repair will oblige information.

Mercedes
