Buying a New Spa?

Danz Spas

Questions related to purchasing a new or used spa or hot tub.

Danz Spas

Postby mathewn » Wed Oct 07, 2009 8:45 am

Hi

New to this board. I live in England, UK and am looking to purchase a hot tub/spa for the first time.

I am aware of the bigger players in this market and their cost however I came across the one in the link below which seems to be a very good deal with all the entertainment equipment and the number of seats and jets.

http://www.danz.co.uk/shop/NEW_Ultimate_Spa_236.php

Is anyone able to give me their opinion on this item and if it does appear to anyone else, too be to good to be true. I have contacted the company but they do not have premises where I can view their stock so im pretty reluctant.

I would be grateful if anyone could confirm whether they have heard of this company/brand and if they are reliable.

Any other suggestions would be appreicated.

Thanks in advance

Hello
:D We have had delivery of our hot tub on Friday morning. Spoke to the driver and the carriers are delivering 6 tubs every day and has been very busy delivering Danz tubs, hence the back log due to highe demand. The driver had dropped one tub off at coventry and then with us in Birmingham his next drop was in Manchester. Tub arrived on trailer back of van. Three tubs on trailer and three on van. Have photo of the adequete trolley in which they only remove tub off trailer and then it is up to you to move to position. Be warned ours was only 4 seater tub and one of the small ones but was still quite heavy and i managed to use a trolley from work . Depending on were you have to position tub and the space you have to monuvoure it will govern way you place on trolley ie upright which is the way we did or flat. I had 3 other pairs of hands to help quide and position my tub. We are having the electrician who put our electrics in to connect ours. I must admit the tub is very good albeit not connected and running yet but is very very good value compared to tubs manufactured in the UK. Will let you know when all connected which should be this weekend.

I have couple of phots as you requested showing removale off trailer will e-mail to you. my e-mail is rfreeman@brandauer.co.uk If you send me mail i will return with photos. Unless there is way via this forum.

Bye for now

Hi ALL
I can say that i am very pleased with out hot tub we have had the weekend using it and we actualy ent in it at 6.00am one morning -4deg outside and white on the ground but our tub was hot at 40c wow. We had problem when first wired up as the temperture wasnt rising as it should have but to be honest Danz arranged for an engineer to call on us. Within 48 hrs he called to our convienience and the problem was resolved. What we didnt know was there was a valve turned off that feeds the water heater pump ie the jet of water into the hot tub wasnt opened sufficient. So be warned all valves are open. You couldnt see this valvewhich is a large one unless you took the side panel off. Back up service excellent, hot tub fantastic and was well worth waiting for. agalad we never cancelled as we was going to due to the dalays. Christophe and Daniel from Danz Spas was very good and helpful. One final thing check you have correct carton when carrier delivers your tub as this carton will contain you steps, filter, head rests etc. We had wrong one which was somebody else but once again it was dealt with straight away by the carrier through Danz.

Make sure your electrics are in order thou as the engineer had come across faults not because of the tub but the home electrics.

All the best to you all and a merry christmas from Bob in ENGLAND. :D

Happy New Year Bob and all Danz Hot Tub owners!

I want to thank Bob for his really useful advice and all the tips. It really has been a help and so re-assuring to e able to chat with others taking the plunge, so to speak!
So happy your tub is working so well and that you are braving the elements to use it when it is so cold outside.
I can't wait for it to be my turn and shall let you all know about how our Tub is too.
I think that Daniel and Christophe have been so very helpful and nice that it is difficult to be annoyed at the delay on delivery.
The main worry was about the company when there were such delays but since the company is thriving, the delays are more to do with selling so many tubs rather than being in trouble as they have not sold enough!
I think you are right to recommend this company since everything has turned out so well for you.

Enjoy!

Hi All I've sat and read your comments and stories of Danz can I say although I waited 3 months for ours we have know had it almost 12 months we purchased the Atlantic Spa in November 2008 and took delivery in late January 2009, after numerous delays, but we where kept in upto date and where even offered our money back on a couple of occasions. Once we took delivery of the tub we have never looked back I have 2 occasions to contact danz regarding leeks and both times someone has been with us within a few days to carry out the repairs. The service man has also been able to give us pointers on where we were going wrong with both the water and general maintenance issues, as well as the operation of the tub.

As for the quality I have friends who have purchased cheap hot tubs and paid more than ourselfs and receievd far less for there money the tubs are insulated with PU foam as are many of the top of the range hot tubs, and had plenty more trouble. As for the instructions men don't do instructions so play with it you'll find out more quicker, and it is a new toy to be played with ???? enjoy :D :D

Hi , Like Dobbie we are delighted with our spa, If you read the earlier messages yes we did like most have to wait and was getting concerned that we may never get our spa but we did in early December 2009 and we havent looked back. It has been on and used daily without any problems. Yes it is cheap but i wouldnt say you get what you pay for in fact a lot more. Bob

Just to tell you that the Ultimate really is what it is supposed to be. It is the best spa I have ever seen either in the South of France where we are, or in Florida or California where we visit. They have nice spas but this one has everything in the sound and entertainment field and the shell is really solid. We are delighted with the product despite the delays and the anxiety it caused.
We showed the Spa to a couple who live in France and were also unsure about whether to order one. The area around the spa was not yet finfished and it was winter weather but they were very happy with what they saw and I believe they ordered one once they had seen it. They said they were surprised at the quality for the price.
I think the only problem we had was the delay and the instruction manual which must now be up to scratch. Since this is the newest product and this was one of the first batches to be delivered, I suppose this sort of thing is to be expected.
I can't tell you how nice, honest and helpful both Daniel and Christophe have been throughout and for me, this makes so much difference.
I think it is a company which deserves to do well and let's face it, a company which does try to keep the prices down and also does deliver a high quality product is better than one which delivers on the day, charges a fortune and sells an inferior product!
If you were in France you would be welcome to see our Spa!
Anyway, we recommend the product.

I have had a Danz Spa for the past 6 months and have had no problems with it. Myself and my family use it on a daily basis. They also come with a free 5 years parts and labour guarantee. Best thing we ever bought. :D

Good morning all.
Hi shirl you say you have ordered a sure spa we also have this perticular spa and have been delighted with it please read my previouse corraspondance on here if you havent already. Danze spas are such good value for money that they cannot meet demand within the framework they state ie 6 to 8 weeks. Because they are manufactured to order production times will always cause some sort of delay. The only thing i would say to anybody you have to set time to at least 12 weeks from order but it is worth waiting for.

Hi all
After communicating with a fellow prospective spa owner i have come across the now new way of water treatment without the use of chlorine granules etc and the complication of keeping our water clear. Its Aqua Finess a water care solution which allows the user to enjoy their hot tub without the harsh effects of chemicals. Site with information / benafits and instruction. http://www.spa-care.co.uk

Has anybody have any feedback of using this treatment?

HI

My name is Jenn & I purchased a Sure Spa from Danz

The best thing ever

They are so helpful emailing & calling to update you with detail of delivery
I had a service call from one of their associates recently & he also said that he thought that there aftercare was one of the best - he says he has had dealings with people who bought their spa & thats it no back up care plan or warranty

My hubby was a bit concerned as the price made him think it could be a scam (lets face it there is so much of that about) but after speaking to Daniel from Danz office the Spa was purchased

I recommend Danz to everyone as I have had an amazing experience dealing with them for the initial purchase & also from any further queries for maintenance & upkeep
If you want to see any pictures of my Spa in situ - please feel free to email me

Bubbly lurve from the Spa
