Were new to this forum and new to owning a hot tub. We have just purchashed a 91 cal supra electric 8x8 hot tub. It was a very good deal considering we will need to purchase a new cover and it is located near by. The cabinet looks in good condition but has been painted to match their exisiting deck which we will also want to repaint. My DH said the motor checked out well enough and we realize we may need work on that as well since we didn't actually get to see it working with water. Owners have all paper work including info on who serviced it and when. They say it hasn't been running for a year and a half since they no longer had time for it and are selling it due to a move to new home thier building. The shell looks practically brand new. All things considered it seems worth the cost to give it a try. We had a pool in our previous home and are some what familiar with what it will require for maintenance. Both DH and I are good with DIY projects, but this is all new. Any advice on what to look for and expect when we get this spa to our house would be gratefully appreciated. Also anyone with more info on this particular type of spa out there? Thanks!

I wish you the best... but these things can be very, very expensive to repair... unless you got it gor free, you might want to ask if you can see it running....
