I am in the middle of my spa install and have just found out about F-1346-91....Its a law concerning the fence you MUST put around your spa or pool. I live in St Pete FL by the way..

I was planning on putting some high class latis around the spa and deck area. The problem I have encountered is that the law states " No child shall be able to climb or get under the fence!!

Any ideas or maybe you have found a way around this would be a great help. I hate to think I may have to put a privacy fence all the way around my spa....It kinda kills the mood sitting in a box of water.

Maybe take another, closer, look at that (and related) laws. My understanding is that the idea behind the law is to prevent unwanted or accidental access to a potentially dangerous situation, and this is satisfied, in the case of Hot Tubs, Spas and Jacuzzis, by a locking, rigid cover.

It may not be the case where you live, but check it out to make sure before you build an expensive, unsightly fence.
