After many weeks of investigation I have limited my choice to either Marquis - (Epic) or D1 (Chairmen II or Nautalis). I tend to like the more open seating and therefore the Chairmen II is third on the list. I also have kids and like the idea of the Nautalis having a step to get in and out of the tub.

What are your expereinces and views on these models and companies?

Between D1 and Marquis you hit the main difference on the head...open concept. Marquis has the largest footwells in the industry. Both tubs are extremely well built in regards to insulation, therapy, and seating options. The d1 focuses mainly on conformed seating therapy, especially in the models you are interested in. (chairmanII) You really can't go wrong with either tub.
