A local dealer has these 2 tubs for sale for the same price. The marquis is a 2003 and looks in great shape. Has had no work done to it and has 8 months of warranty left. The D1 is a '99 that looks to be in great shape, has a new cover, new head unit and lower unit board (this is due to a freeze up and stupidity by the previous owner), one new main pump, and he has changed out all the jets to new ones.
So which do you guys think would be a better tub? I am leaning towards the D1 because it has a circ pump as well as the 2 main pumps, it supposedly has a better water managemnet system, and looks to be a bigger and deeper tub. Also most things on it are new. The dealer is a D1 and marquis dealer if it makes a difference.

If it were my money I'd go for the D1... part personal preference, part experience, part based on parts recently installed.
Additionally depth is everything. The deeper the better imo.
What's the asking price?
Will he deliver and set up (with 230v power etc)...

I have been leaning towards the D1 as well for the reasons you said. He is asking $4500 for each with delivery, setup, steps, and cover lifter. I have to pay for the GFI breaker. I have tried working on the price a bit but no movement so far. Don't for get I am in Canada and we will get hosed compared to you in the south (I don't know why we take it ). Also the D1 comes with 90 day warranty and the ozinator is new as well.

For Canada that sounds about right especially since you'll get some local dealer support - and hell down here almost none of that exists except for a few places...
