A guy on craigs list is selling aused VITA NUAGE hot tub. He says it is a 2002 model and he paid $7,200 but asking $1,750.
It has 2 pumps a bubbler and an ozonator.
the cover is new and the sides are a composite material not wood.
Is this a good spa? A good price?
From the photos I don't think it has a lounger. not sure if it matters..
Or... should I keep looking?

That sounds like a real steal.
If it's within your budget and moving isn't too difficult, I'd jump on it.
And I love composite/plastic wood. Nice thing because it doesn't fall apart when you have to open it up to work on it.

Looks fine to me.
New cost on a tub like that these days is still the original price posted in the ad.

What if any are the downsides to a used tub that is a few years old?
Are there newer better technologies out there? Is this brand good? and it it missing any of the features I would want?
Here is the conversation I had with the guy...
It has straight seats which is why it is known as the "Party Tub". The best
feature is the wall of water shooting onto your neck as you can see in the
pics. You can definitely turn the heat down in the winter as low as you
like. It has one light and aromatherapy. The clips should be an effective
lock but I am sure you can makeshift something if you want it more secure. I
would like to sell this ASAP and will be posting daily just to let you know.

Thanks I understand about the pricing. Let me get my costs together
and do some more research.
I need to price out a cement pad, electric, and moving costs.
A few more questions..
Does it have a lounger or just straight seats?
In the winter when not in use can I turn the heat down on the water
to like 40 degrees to reduce energy costs?
Does it have any of the extras such as waterfalls, lights, radio?
aromatherapy etc?
Sorry to be such a pain. I am somewhat new to spas and want to learn
as much as possible.
Also the cover.. when you say clipped.... I have a 3 year old..
Does it lock?

Yes it has an ozonator. The cover can be clipped in place on the
side as a
safety feature. I can be flexible on the price but $1,000 is a
little on the
low side. The spa measures 85 X 85 including the lip around it. I've
attached more pics and I also have the original owners manual.

Does the cover lock on to the side? I have young kids and I am
concerned with the long island drownings.
Does it have an oxzonator?
If it is still available i may call you during the week.
I would also need to call a mover to see how much it would cost to
move.
Do you have flexibility in the price. I was really looking for one
for $1,000.

The outside is composite and I am selling it because we just don't
use it
that much any more. I am enclosing another picture with the cover
on. Feel
free to call me if you .
